in ancient legends and rising to 2476m, the Sibillini mountains
are an undiscovered gem for cyclists looking to challenge themselves
against tough Apennine climbs. Presenting a 155k route with 2700m
of climbing, the Gran Fondo dei Sibillini has become one of the
most prestigious races in central Italy. The less arduous route
of 95k (1200m climbing) is a popular alternative. A mere 60 km
south of your training base Jesi, the gran fondo is a great midsummer

Gran fondo dei Sibillini is the focal point to our July training
camp. You will spend seven days training in the beautiful countryside
and quiet roads around our homebase Jesi.
upon arrival at the Ancona airport on Saturday, the Biketime staff
will pick you up and transport you to the Villa Borgognoni in Jesi.
This beautifully refurbished 19th century villa, now run as a youth
hostel, is famed for its decorative vaulted ceilings and its charming
accommodation is based on shared rooms with other cyclists in two,
four or six bed arrangements.
morning the Biketime Team will take you on a training ride ranging
from 3 to 5 hours. After a group warm up we will split into two
groups based on individual fitness and training. All routes are
carefully selected, but rides in the area can be hilly with some
including long 'alpine' style passes so low gearing is recommended.
The morning of the race the Biketime team will transport you and your
wheels to the starting line with plenty of time to take in the pre-race
atmosphere and have a relaxing warm-up. After the post-race pasta
party and award ceremony we will return to Jesi for a final group
dinner to recount the week's highlights.
After an abundant lunch at a local Trattoria, the Biketime Team
together with the cyclists will organize afternoon activites.
Biketime will organize the evening meal at one of the many local restaurants
where you Will be able to appreciate the unique regional cuisine of
